Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait is a dual performance insecticide that kills and controls fire ants. It is an ideal solution for complete long-term control, preventing fire ants mounds from moving and colonies from other mounds. It has long residual contact insecticide treatments that are more effective in smaller areas because ants that move into treated areas will be eliminated as long as the chemical is active. The residual effects last up to 3 months and kill ants right after eating the bait.
When combating fire ants and fire ant mounds, this is an effective bait that eliminates problem fire ant colonies. The insecticide portion of the product is made with the active ingredient, hydramethylnon to kill the adults. The insect growth regulator (IGR) portion of the product is an active ingredient, s-methoprene to inhibit queens from laying fertilized eggs.
